Food Truck Community LLC ("FTC," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at foodtruckcommunity.com and the related booking platform (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information you provide directly

  • Contact information: Name, email address, phone number, company name, and mailing address when you create an account, submit an inquiry, or contact us.
  • Event details: Event type, date, location, estimated guest count, cuisine preferences, budget range, and any other details you provide when requesting food truck services.
  • Payment information: Credit card numbers, billing address, and related payment details. Payment card data is processed directly by Stripe and is not stored on our servers — we only retain a tokenized reference and the last four digits of your card.
  • Account credentials: Email and hashed password if you create a registered account.
  • Vendor information: If you register as a food truck vendor, we collect your business name, contact details, service area, menu information, licensing and insurance documents, and bank account details for payouts (processed by Stripe).
  • Communications: Any messages, feedback, or support requests you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on the Service, clicks, searches performed, and features used.
  • Device and browser data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies as described in Section 5 below.
  • Location data: Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location without your explicit consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Booking fulfillment: To process event inquiries, match you with vendors, issue proposals and confirmations, coordinate logistics, and facilitate payment.
  • Account management: To create and manage your account, authenticate your identity, and communicate about your bookings.
  • Customer support: To respond to your questions, resolve disputes, and improve our support processes.
  • Marketing and communications: To send you promotional emails about upcoming events, new vendors, special offers, and relevant content. You may opt out at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any marketing email or by contacting us directly. Opting out does not affect transactional messages related to your bookings.
  • Analytics and improvement: To understand how the Service is used, identify areas for improvement, and test new features.
  • Legal and compliance: To comply with applicable laws, enforce our Terms of Service, prevent fraud, and protect the rights and safety of FTC, our users, and the public.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following circumstances:

  • With food truck vendors: When you confirm a booking, we share relevant event details (name, contact information, event date, location, and guest count) with the vendor(s) fulfilling your event.
  • With service providers: We share data with trusted third-party vendors who process it on our behalf, including:
    • Stripe — payment processing and vendor payouts
    • Supabase — database hosting and authentication infrastructure
    • Google — calendar integration, maps, and analytics
    • Resend — transactional and marketing email delivery
  • Business transfers: If FTC is acquired, merges with, or transfers assets to another entity, your information may be part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
  • Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or property.

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe, which maintains PCI DSS compliance. However, no security system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us immediately.
